Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate nursing services using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role requires MA RN licensure and current BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required in certain units.

Experience with discharge planning, patient assessment, and delegation within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this position in our Central Massachusetts system.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• ACLS certification required in select areas.
• PALS required in select areas.
• NRP Advanced Provider required in select areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Utilize the Nursing Process from admission to discharge and discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise and coordinate nursing care within the unit.
• Delegate tasks appropriately in line with competency levels.
• Maintain unit-specific competencies and participate in ongoing education.

Education

Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
