Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, delegating tasks within competency, and documenting care. A valid Massachusetts license, a nursing program completed, and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred if current.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• ACLS certification current if applicable.
• Unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to plan, deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates duties appropriate to staff competency.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure.
