Important Note: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR.

Required Skills, Certifications, and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Acute hemodialysis experience required; cycler experience not needed for day shift; CAPD experience is helpful
• BLS certification required

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• ACLS and CDN or CNN preferred

Job Details:

• Ratios: 1:1-2
• Shift: 12-hour days, 36 hours/week
• Call Requirement: Rotating Sundays 6 am – 6 pm, and 6 pm – 6 am if night shift staff unavailable; RN on call after hours until 6 am next day; Sundays 6 am – 6 am Monday
• Float Requirement: Not required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Additional Responsibilities:

• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm or Hurricane Teams and may be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters

Patient Diagnoses:

End-stage renal disease on dialysis, CKD progression, AKI, PD failure/infection, transplant rejection

Unit Details:

• Acute Hemodialysis unit with 9 stations and 1 isolation station
• Patients transported via Epic
• ICU/PCU bedside treatments for ventilated patients

Equipment and Systems:

• Fresenius and Baxter dialysis equipment experience required
• Pyxis, Epic, Voalte phone used on unit

Scheduling and Orientation:

• Self-scheduling
• 24 hours orientation: 12 hours ICU/offsite and 12 hours dialysis

Days off flexible based on department needs. Scrubs provided.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Day shift 3x12 hours (05:45 - 18:15).
