Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (S) at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, NC. The RN will coordinate care, assess and plan nursing interventions, and ensure safe administration of medications and treatments.

The role requires completion of the DHHS medication exam and CPR/NCVIF certification. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered, contingent on budget approval.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Knowledge of medications and the physiological effects of those medications.
• Ability to communicate information clearly, verbally or in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for residents, including ongoing assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following the 6 rights.
• Maintain CPR and NCVIF certification as required.
