Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking registered nurses to join our 31-bed intermediate care facility in Commack, NY. Full-time and part-time day, evening, and night shifts are available, with at least one weekend shift required weekly.

Responsibilities include supervising care staff, administering medications, documenting progress notes, and ensuring health, safety, and quality standards per policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• NYS RN license is required.
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Developmentally Disabled population and OPWDD regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in the health and safety of individuals served.
• Supervise and train direct care staff on medication administration and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician.
• Generate incident, seizure, and illness reports.
• Maintain medical records per state and federal guidelines.
• Document nursing/medical progress notes and reviews.
