Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking a registered nurse to provide care in our children's residence on a part-time or per-diem basis. The role involves supervising medication administration, health monitoring, and staff training while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Responsibilities include completing recertifications, generating progress notes, and maintaining medical records per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• NYS RN License is required.
• Two-year college or graduate nursing program from an accredited school is required.
• Experience with Developmentally Disabled population or OPWDD regs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise medication administration and safety per physician orders.
• Train and supervise direct care staff on medication administration and health/safety issues.
• Complete yearly recertification and practicum for each medication-certified person.
• Maintain medical records per state and UCP policy; ensure timely documentation.
• Generate and review health reports and nursing notes regularly.
