Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Hackensack, NJ for a full-time day shift. You will provide direct patient care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes through careful assessment, planning, and communication.

Education: ADN or diploma; BSN in progress within three years. Experience: 2+ years in nursing. Licenses: active NJ RN license; BLS/CPR within 60 days. National certification in area of specialty is preferred when eligible.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• 2+ years of relevant nursing experience required.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients/families and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
