Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift in Brick, NJ. This role focuses on direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team to achieve outcome-oriented results.

Ideal candidates have NJ RN licensure, current BLS/CPR, and 6 months of nursing experience; BSN in progress or within 3 years is encouraged. Wound ostomy knowledge and national certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire
• Six months of relevant nursing experience required
• One year or more of RN experience strongly preferred
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire
• Wound ostomy knowledge preferred
• National certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize changes in clinical and diagnostic status.
• Identify education needs for patient and family based on age and disease.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with interventions for outcomes.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation systems.
• Evaluate progress and adhere to protocols while documenting events.
