Qualifications

• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Nurse Residency Program

Responsibilities

• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately.
• Develop and communicate the plan of care with the health team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Document care at the point of service in the electronic system.

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience:

• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
