Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care from admission through discharge, following the nursing process and standard procedures. The role supports discharge planning and coordinates care within the assigned unit.

The ideal candidate holds MA nursing licensure with BLS; ACLS is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred, with knowledge of nursing protocols and patient care teamwork.

Qualifications

• Required: Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• Required: BLS certification for every RN, ACLS as applicable.
• Preferred: BSN or higher degree in nursing.
• Experience with nursing process and patient care delivery may be substituted by equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks to team members according to competency.
