Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate discharge planning while supervising care in the unit. Current MA nursing licensure and BLS are required; ACLS as specified for certain roles; BSN strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency level.
