Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a part-time Mother/Baby Registered Nurse to join our 30-bed Family Childbirth and Children's Center. The RN will provide evidence-based, high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a family-centered environment and work with a dedicated team.

Shift: Day/Night Rotation; 60 Hours Biweekly. Requires MD RN license, 1–2 years of relevant experience, BLS and NRP, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or enrollment within six months of employment.
• Maryland RN license to practice or eligibility based on timeline.
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new grads with focused practicum in Women’s & Children’s Services considered.
• Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification and NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a family-centered environment.
• Coordinate with a dedicated team; act as a resource for team members.
• Work in a 30-bed unit within the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center; participate in couplet and newborn nursery care.

Responsibilities

Our Clinical Nurses (RN) in Mother/Baby independently perform clinical care in a family centered environment. Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence-based, high quality care to mothers and newborns, with couplet care, and newborn nursery care supported. The RN serves as a resource for other team members. Our 30 bed, all private room unit is a part of the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center at Mercy.

Requirements

• A diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)
• A license (RN) to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board
• One - two years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician experience in Women’s and Children’s Services will be considered.
• Healthcare Provider-Level CPR (BLS) certification, and NRP is required

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.

Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
