Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in Alton, IL is seeking a registered nurse to accurately assess residents' health status on admission and ongoing care. You will collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the inter-disciplinary team to develop and update dynamic care plans and document them in the chart.

Responsibilities include administering medications, treatments, IV fluids, and timely communication via SBARR, ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in RN licensure.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and communication abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status on admission and ongoing.
• Communicates significant changes to the inter-disciplinary team.
• Develops dynamic care plans with physicians, residents, families, and IDT.
• Documents care plans on admission and updates as needs change.
• Identifies nursing interventions including meds, treatments and IV care.
• Delivers interventions timely and safely, using proper lifting techniques.
• Notifies physicians using SBARR; maintains composure in crises.
• Assists with call lights and resident care activities.
• Completes required nursing offerings and stays current with Bethesda policies.
