Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking an Experienced CVOR RN (Circulator) in Virginia to support a top-tier heart program. This role offers 4x10s day shifts, with call 12–15 days per month and a choice of 3–6 month temporary contracts or a temp-to-perm path.

You’ll circulate high-acuity open-heart cases, manage ECMO/Impella/IABP equipment, and collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and anesthesia in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years circulating in a CVOR.
• Active VA or Compact RN License.
• AHA BLS & ACLS certs (CNOR bonus).
• Epic EMR proficiency & ECMO/Impella/IABP experience.
• ASN/ADN required (BSN preferred).
• Willingness for 4×10 day shifts, call coverage, and floating to thoracic/vascular as needed.

Responsibilities

• Circulate high-acuity adult open-heart cases (CABG, valve procedures, TAVR).
• Manage advanced cardiac support equipment and implants.
• Ensure OR safety, sterile field, and smooth handoffs with postoperative teams.

Schedule: 4x10s | Day Shift (6:15/6:45 AM – 5:00/5:15 PM)

Call: 12–15 days/mo (1–2 weekends + holiday rotation)

What You’ll Do

• Circulate High-Acuity Cases: Lead the room for adult open-heart (CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Aortic surgery), TAVR, and complex thoracic/vascular procedures.
• Manage Advanced Tech: Oversee specialty cardiac support equipment (ECMO, Impella, IABP), implants, and blood products.
• Drive OR Safety & Flow: Run pre-induction time-outs, maintain a strict sterile field, and ensure seamless handoffs with post‑op ICU teams.

What We Need

• Experience: 2+ years circulating in a CVOR.
• Licensure: Active VA or Compact RN License.
• Certs: AHA BLS & ACLS (CNOR is a bonus!).
• Tech: Epic EMR proficiency & experience with ECMO/Impella/IABP.
• Education: ASN/ADN required (BSN preferred).
• Flexibility: Comfortable with 4×10 day shifts, call coverage, and floating to thoracic/vascular when cardiac cases are clear.
