Indiana University Health is seeking a Cross-Campus Labor & Delivery RN to provide staffing support across multiple Women’s Services locations. This role supports obstetric patients in L&D and LDRP, with assignments based on census, acuity, and call-ins across Fishers, North, and West facilities.

The position requires an ASN with Indiana RN licensure (BSN preferred) and BLS certification. You may rotate across campuses to meet staffing needs and deliver high-quality care in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Other ALS certifications may be required per unit/department.
• RN must graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions may apply for >2 years of acute care experience subject to CNO review.

Part-time and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026). This position is also referral eligible.

Position Summary

The Cross-Campus Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides staffing support across multiple Women's Services locations to address fluctuations in obstetric census, varying patient acuity, and staffing vacancies. This role serves as a flexible resource within Labor & Delivery and Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) units, helping maintain safe staffing levels and ensuring exceptional patient care.

The Cross-Campus RN will be assigned based on operational needs, shift vacancies, patient acuity, and call-in support requirements. Individuals in this role must be comfortable working across IU Health Fishers, North, and West facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients in Labor & Delivery and/or LDRP settings.
• Support staffing needs across designated campuses based on patient census, acuity, and staffing shortages.
• Serve as a resource nurse to assist units experiencing increased volume or unexpected staffing challenges.
• Provide coverage for call-ins and unplanned staffing vacancies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to all IU Health clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while working in different care environments and teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to patient care policies.
