Indiana University Health seeks an experienced registered nurse for a night shift on the Labor & Delivery unit. The unit is a Level IV perinatal center providing high-level obstetric care.

RN, licensed in Indiana, with at least ASN; BSN preferred. BLS required; additional ACLS/ALS certifications may be requested. Relocation incentives are available.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Requires current Indiana RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit policies.

Responsabilités

• Provide obstetric nursing care on a Level IV perinatal unit.
• Collaborate with the care team to support mothers and families.
• Perform fetal monitoring, assessments, and urgent care as needed.

Overview

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of one year of RN experience for this role.

RMT labor and delivery is a level IV perinatal center providing high level, quality care to all spectrums of the obstetrical patient. RMT labor and delivery is comprised of 27 inpatient beds, 10 bed OB Emergency department, 4 OR 's including a fetal surgery suite, HR transport, and 6 bed PACU. While the focus for our patient’s care is obstetric, we take a holistic approach to care of the patients, maternal and fetal, to include complex medical, emotional, and social needs.

Experience in OB nursing a plus! BSN preferred.

• Critical assessment skills
• Fetal monitoring and assessment
• Training for US PIV placement, Belmont rapid infuser, OBERT rapid assessment team, and simulation training
• Bereavement support for mothers and families
• Opportunity to join Periop team who is involved in OR cases including complex surgeries and fetal surgeries

Qualifications

• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
