Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a dedicated RN for a 12-hour day shift in Mishawaka, Indiana. The role supports the Step-Down Unit (SDU), bridging ICU and general care for high-acuity patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN Indiana License and CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.
• One year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with higher acuity needs including cardiac drips, post-op recovery, telemetry, respiratory support.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions in real time.
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, pharmacists, and fellow nurses to deliver coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.
• Document assessments, medications, and interventions in our EHR system with accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
