Job summary

Endocrine News is seeking a Per Diem ICU Registered Nurse for night shifts across Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park and Skokie. Per diem schedule varies with 32-144 hours per 6-week cycle depending on level.

Required IL RN license, NLN-accredited program, and BLS/CPR/ACLS certification. Minimum 2 years’ acute care critical care with telemetry skills; travel to listed locations is required.

Responsibilities

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Registered Nurse – ICU – Per Diem

Position Highlights

• Position: Per Diem, Registered Nurse
• Location: Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park and Skokie
• Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
• Hours: Night shift 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement
• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park and Skokie

What you will do

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience

What you will need

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR ACLS Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
• Experience: A minimum two year of recent acute care clinical experience in critical care. Telemetry competence required. Telemetry competence must be demonstrated within 14 days of hire by passing online telemetry test.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Critical care experience
