Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool. You will manage patient care in collaboration with care givers and other providers, delivering safe, high-quality outcomes.

Expect 0.75 FTE with rotating day/night 12-hour shifts, every third weekend. Requirements include MN RN license, BLS, telemetry experience; BSN preferred and pursued within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Telemetry experience required; critical care experience preferred.
• RN license in Minnesota required; BSN preferred (within 2 years of hire).
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule

0.75 FTE, Rotating Day/Night 12-hour shifts & every third weekend

Required Qualifications

• Telemetry experience required, critical care experience preferred.
• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
