• Assesses and plans patient care based on changing health needs
• Educates patients using appropriate resources and evaluates learning outcomes
• Models leadership through mentoring and communication; may assume charge nurse duties
• Directly delegates and supervises ancillary staff in line with NJ Scope of Practice
