Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care and lead nursing personnel in the unit. The RN will support medical care under the direction of the Medical Staff and ensure patient safety and quality of care in alignment with the hospital's mission.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Texas RN license and BLS certification are required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable performance of essential functions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Texas.
• BLS certification.
• Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across ages.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and other staff in patient care.
• Follow Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies in planning and delivering care.
• Assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities.
• Communicate with physicians on patient status and treatments.
