Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care across departments. The role emphasizes accountability for patient outcomes and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality, in alignment with Mercy Service Standards.

The position requires RN licensure in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and may require BLS and additional unit-specific certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: RN license current in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS; additional unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
