Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate plan of care across the continuum of care in a clinical setting. You will assess needs, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include performing nursing interventions, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and participating in quality and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses patient/family needs across physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects.
• Formulates and coordinates plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises care plan based on patient response.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and team members to resolve patient needs.
• Solves equipment-related problems and ensures proper handling.
