Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Texas nursing license or valid compact license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care per skills inventory and the age/needs of the patient.
• Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes using data, research, and professional standards of care.
• Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement and patient-centered outcomes.
• Addresses diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care to optimize the patient experience.
• Ensures safety for patients, staff and visitors within policies and budgetary specifications.
