Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and age/needs of the patient.
• Coordinates the planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to attain positive outcomes based on data, research, and professional standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops/implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in ongoing evaluation of programs and process improvements to achieve client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies, ensuring safe care for patients, staff and visitors.
