Job summary

Medical Services of America Home Health and Hospice in Norton, VA seeks a Registered Nurse to step into a Full-Time Clinical Manager role serving our Hospice location. The position leads staff scheduling, compliance and patient care oversight in a community: Wise, Lee, Dickenson and Scott counties.

The ideal candidate holds a VA RN license, a BSN preferred, with supervisory experience in home health or hospice and a drive for program development, staff mentoring and quality improvement

Qualifications

• RN licensed in VA
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in home health or hospice
• Driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Receiving, processing and assigning staff for all patient referrals
• Verifying reimbursement source prior to rendering service
• Preparing monthly schedules for patient care staff under the direct supervision of the clinical manager
• Distributing prepared schedules to appropriate staff
• Receiving and verifying weekly schedules against the monthly schedule for accuracy
• Reviewing schedules daily
• Rescheduling missed visits
• Maintaining weekly discharges/recertification dates in schedule book
• Preparing daily census and weekly visit count productivity reports for administration
• Keeping records of supervisory HHA visits
• Reviewing mileage sheets and itineraries for accuracy
• Distributing clinical reports to patient care staff
• Receiving lab reports
• Assisting with supplementary staffing of patients

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience required.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a Home Health or Hospice setting
• Licensed RN in the state of VA.
• Valid driver’s license.
