Job summary

The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Inc (MCCG) is hiring a registered nurse to join a fast-paced care team. The NURSE will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the care team. This role may require temporary float to other units to meet patient needs and requires active RN

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license (multi-state compact and/or single-state) with privileges to practice in the applicable state(s).
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Telehealth/telepractice licensure in the state(s) where clients are located.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units, departments or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making in patient care.
