Job summary

New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP) seeks a registered nurse to holistically coordinate patient care within an integrated, multi-disciplinary team in New Brunswick. The role emphasizes knowledge, theory and practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs in collaboration with other health professionals.

As part of EMP, the nurse will contribute to care delivered in home and community settings, helping reduce hospital admissions and improve patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB).
  • A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology in a patient unit that requires daily collaboration with various health disciplines and family members as part of reaching patient goals.
  • A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills.
  • Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
  • A high regard for confidentiality; and Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
