Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Idaho is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the Children's Endocrinology Clinic. You will support pediatric patients with growth, diabetes, and related conditions, performing assessments and procedures under the direction of providers.

You will document care in the EMR, educate families, coordinate with physicians and insurance, and uphold HIPAA and safety standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a variable day off every two weeks; sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an approved program.
• Current RN licensure in State of Practice and BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and intake documentation in EMR.
• Provide basic clinical care and assist with procedures as directed by provider.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs and multidisciplinary teams, including insurance authorizations and follow-up.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications and safety precautions.
• Maintain infection control practices and HIPAA compliance.

We are currently hiring for a Full -Time RN at Children's Endocrinology Clinic!

What You Can Expect:

As a Children's Endocrinology Clinic RN, you will play a key role in supporting pediatric patients with conditions such as growth hormone deficiencies, short stature, diabetes, and more.

Patient Assessment and Intake

• Collect vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, O2, respirations) and document patient history, medications, symptoms, and clinical concerns accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Clinical Care and Procedures

• Perform basic clinical tasks. These tasks will vary by clinic and role, but may include: preparing and administering medications, giving injections, or assisting with procedures as directed by the provider.

Care Coordination and Communication

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Coordinate patient care including insurance prior authorizations, telephone triage, relaying test results, and ensuring timely follow-up.

Patient Education and Support

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and treatment instructions, ensuring understanding and adherence.

Compliance and Safety Standards

• Maintain infection control protocols, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to clinic policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-4:45pm. One variable day off per two week pay period.

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: 1 years' experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
