Join Us in Making a Difference at DJS! A Registered Nurse Charge is the lead level of work responsible for nursing care in a ward, cottage, or unit on an assigned shift at a State facility. A Registered Nurse Charge Medical provides nursing care in a medical setting to the youth within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act, DJS Standards, policy, and procedure. Employees in this classification assign review, approve the work of, and train Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and the non-licensed nursing or support staff assigned to the work area for a shift.
Candidates will remain on the certified eligible list for one (1) year. The resulting certified eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill similar positions of the same classification in this or other State agencies.
