Job summary

Centurion Health, in Jessup, MD, is seeking a part-time Charge RN to join the Behavioral Health team at Patuxent Correctional Facility.

The Charge RN will supervise nursing and support staff on the day shift and provide direct and indirect patient care in a correctional setting. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to address complex health needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold Maryland RN license; BSN preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory nursing experience preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional or behavioral health settings preferred.

Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The Charge RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland; BSN preferred but not required
• Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Experience working in a correctional or behavioral health environment preferred
