Job summary

Ascension in Murfreesboro, TN, is recruiting for a PRN | Days RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford. You will support cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safety and comfort throughout interventions.

Minimum requirements include Tennessee RN licensure (or compact), ACLS within 6 months, BLS within 1 month, and a nursing diploma. This role offers on-site work with a strong team and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ACLs within 6 months of hire; BLS within 1 month of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program; state licensure required.

• Manage the full cycle of patient care by assessing, preparing, and positioning individuals for procedures to ensure clinical safety and comfort.
• Provide active physiological monitoring and conscious sedation, serving as a critical line of communication between patient and physician.
• Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans with families and the healthcare team for safe transitions home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
