North Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Catheterization Labs (Cath Lab) on a full-time basis. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient care before, during, and after cardiac procedures using advanced Cath Lab technology.
A current RN license and BLS are required, with 1–3 years of experience preferred. You will work 6:00AM-4:30PM across four 10-hour shifts with call obligations.

North Alabama Medical Center features four Cardiac Catheterization Labs with one room dedicated to electrophysiology studies. The cath lab provides services for 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. Our cardiac cath lab is a specialized unit that is designed to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. Cath labs perform dye test on patients’ hearts and other vessels in the body. When interventions are needed, blockages are treated with balloons and stents. Cath labs are well known for placing stents in a heart during a heart attack. NAMC features the only interventional cath lab within 75 miles of Florence capable of treating heart attack patients.
You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
You’ll be responsible for the initiation and continuation of nursing care for the patient before, during, and after the cardiac procedure. Implementing proper nursing care for the patient, administration of drugs and medications, hemodynamic monitoring general knowledge, and set-up of all cardiac procedures.
Job activities are fairly complex and highly diversified but are structured within a predefined work routine. Involves the exercise of judgement in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding patient care or hospital problems to determine what action should be taken within the specifications of standard practice.
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
6:00AM-4:30PM (4-10-hour shifts) Call is every 4th day and every 4th weekend.
