Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Catheterization Labs (Cath Lab) on a PRN basis. The position involves diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease while collaborating with cardiologists and surgeons.

The Cath Lab is the only facility within 75 miles capable of treating acute heart conditions, providing a crucial service to the community. Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN with experience in cardiac care.
• BLS certification is essential.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate nursing care for patients before, during, and after cardiac procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and administer medications.
• Maintain readiness of cardiac equipment for various procedures.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Catheterization Labs (Cath Lab) PRN – Your experience matters. As a registered nurse in the Cath Lab at North Alabama Medical Center, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease, supporting a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and an interventional radiologist.

Cath Lab Unit

North Alabama Medical Center features four Cardiac Catheterization Labs, including one electrophysiology study room. The cath lab supports 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. It is the only interventional cath lab within 75 miles of Florence capable of treating heart‑attack patients.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and continue nursing care for patients before, during, and after cardiac procedures.
• Administer drugs and medications, and monitor hemodynamic status.
• Set up all cardiac procedures and maintain equipment readiness.
• Use specialized plan‑of‑care interventions to enhance patient journeys and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• One to three years of work experience.
