Job summary

Hospice of North Alabama is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Scottsboro, AL team. You will provide 1:1 patient care, develop individualized hospice plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comfort-focused outcomes.

Commitment to documentation, education, and family support is essential. Responsibilities include administering medications, assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure in the state of operation.
• 1 year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured private vehicle.
• Possess and maintain CPR certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
• Create hospice care plans that align with patients' wishes and goals
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch
