Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the South 3 unit to provide direct patient care as part of the CareTeam. Nurses will collaborate in care planning, administer medications per policy, and contribute to discharge education and planning.

The role emphasizes adherence to nursing process, ongoing education, and effective communication to ensure quality outcomes for all patients.

Qualifications

Knowledge of nursing process, theories, and clinical expertise related to patient care, normally acquired through the completion of a nursing training program at an NLN accredited school of nursing.
Current registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team of health-care personnel to resolve complex problems.
Able to acquire through training programs and continuing education technical knowledge related to assigned area.

Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with CareTeam to ensure patients receive skilled nursing care meeting individual needs and is measured by Picker results.
Provides direct patient care as a member of the CareTeam and documents competent nursing care based on scientific principles.
Participates in development and delivery of patient education materials and discharges planning.
Coordinates timely completion of procedures, tests and consults during hospital stay, and communicates clinical information to appropriate parties.
