Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year nursing degree (RN or BSN).
• CPR Certification.
• RN License - MN.
• Active participation in continuing education programs expected.
• Crucial Conversations within first year.
• Basic computer skills: Word & Outlook.
• Experience with Cerner EMR / patient information databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care from admission to discharge using the nursing process.
• Supervise staff and delegate duties with effective communication.
• Facilitate education for staff, residents, families and community.
• Keep current on nursing theory, medications and legal issues related to resident care.
• Provide oversight to the LPN and Nursing Assistants.
• Answer resident call lights and address resident needs.
• Document in EMR and Cerner; communicate data to care team.
• Audit infection control procedures and support CSI/LSW initiatives.
