Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for a specific patient population and provide direct care within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role involves directing and coordinating care among nursing peers, physicians and support services, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and ongoing education. BSN in progress and Nurse Residency program access are supported where eligible.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate degree in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Must have a current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care as a caregiver for a specific patient population within an interdisciplinary team.
• Direct and oversee care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing education to deliver high-quality care.
