Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Cath Lab at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Nurse for full-time days with 8-10 hour shifts and on-call requirements.

You will provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, collaborating with physicians to ensure safety and quality. Required BSN preferred; active RN license; BCLS and ACLS on hire; minimum 1 year cardio lab/CCU experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active state RN license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations in the Cath Lab setting.
• Communicate with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition.
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory; ensure room readiness.
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and meet Cardiovascular Laboratory team needs.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Observe and record patient’s condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab.

A Cath Lab Nurse is essential in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures, contributing significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases specifically with the cardiac catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial,physicaland general aspects of care related to the surgical environment

• Communicate with physician continuously and as neededaboutpatient condition.

• Assistswith the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness

• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensures allappropriate needsof the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met

• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab

• Observe and record patient’s condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab
