Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking a CVICU/CTICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Coastal Virginia, near Virginia Beach and Norfolk. You will care for CVICU/CTICU and step-down patients, including arterial lines and complex monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts include 3x12 or 4x12 hours, with every other weekend, floating, and holidays. VA/Compact RN license and Epic proficiency are required; travel experience is a plus. Extension potential may exist based on need and performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of CVICU/CTICU experience; travel experience preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Proficiency in Epic required; no exceptions

Responsibilities

• Provide care for CVICU/CTICU patients and step-down care as needed
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and invasive monitors
• Administer and titrate cardiac/vasoactive medications and sedations
• Monitor ventilated patients and interpret ABGs; manage dysrhythmias and multi-system organ support

Cardio Thoracic ICU RN - 13 Week Assignment

Location

Located in the scenic Coastal Virginia region, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. The area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring hiking trails suitable for all skill levels and over 20 waterways to explore.

Assignment Details

Seeking a Cardio Thoracic ICU RN for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension.

Candidates will also care for step-down patients due to the use of a universal bed model.

Schedule options include 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts.

Every other weekend, floating, and holiday shifts during the contract are required.

48-hour contracts are available with overtime billed after 48 hours; please specify candidate preference upon submission.

Block scheduling is not available.

Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays.

Typical patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:2.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU setting; travel experience preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of submission; no exceptions
• Proficiency in Epic required; no exceptions

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association only)
