Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 13-week contract position located in San Antonio, Texas. Ideal candidates must possess strong critical thinking skills and in-depth knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Minimum requirements include 2 years of ICU experience, current ACLS and BLS certifications, and an active TX RN License. Competitive health benefits and 401k match included.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care, exemplify strong critical thinking skills, and possess in-depth knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in the CVICU.
• Utilize hemodynamic monitoring systems, including swans and art lines.
• Manage ventilator settings and patient comfort.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Document patient care and clinical events accurately in Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Active TX RN License (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Experience with IABP and CRRT preferred.
• Must be willing to float as needed per facility policy.
