Job summary

IU Health is seeking experienced ICU/ED registered nurses to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team in Indiana. Roles include on-call, with a 30-minute response window, and shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., four shifts per week Monday through Friday.

On-call nights, weekends, and holidays apply. Pipeline for upcoming graduates is available for pairing with opportunities based on skillset. Candidates must have an ASN (BSN preferred), Indiana or NLC RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC license.
• Min 1 year ICU/ED RN experience.
• BSN preferred; ASN required.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Other advanced life support may be required per unit policies.

Responsibilities

• Support Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, monitor patients, and assist with sedation.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and techs to ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient care coordination and post-procedure monitoring.

Overview

Shift: On Call Requirement--must live within 30-minute response time radius. Hours 7a-5:30p, 4 shifts/week M-F. Closed with on-call rotation nights, weekends & holidays.

A minimum of 1+ years of ICU/ED RN experience is required for this role.

This position is referral eligible.

Full time and part time roles are eligible for a sign on bonus. The amount is dependent upon FTE.

The Cardiac Cath Lab, equipped with 3 labs shared with EP & IR. They specialize in minimally invasive cardiac care for a wide variety of adult patients ranging in acuity. The team fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, emphasizing a strong team culture. Additionally, they actively support the patient during procedures by administering sedation and closely monitoring patients.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.


• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.


• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.


• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.


• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.


• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
