Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join our Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC) unit. This 34-bed unit cares for patients after open heart surgery and related procedures, with opportunities to develop clinical expertise in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC) unit, including post open heart surgery, CABG, valve and aortic procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care for critically ill patients.

Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC) nurses treat patients with compassion, care, and clinical excellence. On this 34-bed unit, CVCC nurses primarily care for patients post open heart surgery, CABG, valve and aortic aneurysm repair, heart, and lung transplant, VADs, peripheral vascular surgeries, and ECMO. CVCC houses the only lung transplant program in the state!

This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this differential will be provided during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
