Qualifications

• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care on a critical care unit in Bloomington.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to manage stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis and trauma cases.
• Engage in on-call rotation as part of shift requirements.

This role functions on critical care unit in Bloomington Hospital. Nurses on this unit strive to deliver the highest quality care for patients of all ages facing life threatening conditions from stroke to severe respiratory insufficiency, overwhelming infection and trauma. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere in which dignity, realism and respect is maintained for patients, families and all members of the healthcare team.

Shift: All shifts will be required to pick up 1- on call shift every 6-week schedule.

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
