Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Burn Intensive Care Unit (3 West). You will care for adult and pediatric patients with severe burns, frostbite and necrotizing tissue disease, across 8 inpatient beds with specialized critical care nursing.

The unit operates on rotating shifts (7a–7p/7p–7a) with weekends and holidays rotating, and offers comprehensive monitoring and advanced therapy support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Join our Burn Intensive Care Unit, 3 West!

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult and Pediatric
• Severe Burns
• Frostbite
• Necrotizing Tissue Disease

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Care for hemodynamic instabilities
• Sterile dressing changes/Infection Prevention
• Complex Wound Care
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, & CRRT

Personnel RN will work with:

• Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Trauma/Burn Surgeons, Respiratory Therapy, Child Life Specialists

Number of beds on unit:

• 8 inpatient beds
• Outpatient Clinic

Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:

• Verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center ( 1 of 2 in Ohio)

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
