Job summary

Centurion Health in Jessup, MD is seeking a part-time Mental Health RN (Behavioral Health) to provide nursing care to incarcerated patients at Patuxent Correctional Institution. Responsibilities include health assessments, medication administration, patient education, accurate documentation, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

Evening/night shifts available; Associate's degree required, RN license, CPR certification, and ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• RN license or ability to obtain one required.
• Specialty training in psychiatric nursing required.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to incarcerated patients.
• Conduct health assessments and document care.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Educate patients and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Lead group classes for incarcerated patients as needed

Partnering with Talantage LLC, we are currently seeking a part time Mental Health RN to join our team at Patuxent Correctional Institution located in Jessup, Maryland.

The Registered Nurse (RN) (Behavioral Health) is responsible for providing nursing care to incarcerated patients, including conducting health assessments, administering medications and treatments, providing patient education, documenting care, and coordinating with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN works closely with doctors, behavioral health professionals, and correctional staff to ensure patients have access to quality healthcare services while incarcerated, participating in and leading group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree required
• Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one required
• Specialty training in psychiatric nursing required
