Job summary

River Vista Behavioral Health is seeking Registered Nurses to join its new 128-bed behavioral health facility overlooking the San Joaquin River. You will coordinate, evaluate, and deliver nursing care in collaboration with the health team, following the nursing process and standards of care.

Responsibilities include documenting patient care, assessing changes in condition, administering medications, and contributing to interdisciplinary treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the California State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and CPI training.
• Preferred Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a behavioral health-care facility.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
• Document and reassess significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.
• Report signs or symptoms of infection to the Infection Control Nurse.
• Accurately administer medication to patients.
• Transcribe and carry out physician’s/licensed practitioner’s treatment orders.
• Participate in development of an interdisciplinary treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provide structure and maintain a therapeutic environment in collaboration with health care providers.
• Provide education to patients and families based on identified needs.
