Job summary

River Vista Behavioral Health, a leading inpatient psychiatric hospital in Madera, CA, seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to integrate a patient-centric nursing strategy with focus on quality, service, and cost-effectiveness. You will join River Vista’s Senior Leadership Team and drive people, service, quality, growth and finance initiatives across the nursing function.

Qualifications

• Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in California.
• Master of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing management; free-standing inpatient setting preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of nursing principles and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing strategy aligned with River Vista and UHS mission; oversee patient-centric care.
• Coordinate people, service, quality, growth, and finance across nursing operations.
• Drive strategic planning and contribute to institutional goals and metrics.
• Foster a positive work environment through strong leadership and collaboration.
