Job summary

Sierra Vista Hospital is a 171-bed psychiatric care facility in south Sacramento seeking Registered Nurses for the Nursing Department. The Staff Nurse collaborates with the health team to coordinate and evaluate patient care in accordance with the nursing process.

Educational requirements include an accredited nursing program with an associate degree accepted and a bachelor’s preferred. California RN license and CPR are required; overtime and flexible hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Associates Degrees accepted, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least 6 months experience; psychiatric healthcare preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with health team members.
• Cross-functional training may be required to work throughout the facility.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
