Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a Bed Planner, coordinating patient flow and bed utilization across Med-Surg, PICU, and Surgery Support. The RN will be cross-trained in pre-admissions and registration to support smooth transitions in care.

The role includes night shift scheduling (7:00 PM-5:30 AM), 20 hours/week, with a $5,000 signing bonus. Ideal candidates have BSN, 5+ years in hospital settings, and ACLS/CPR/PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN with active state license required.
• BSN required.
• Minimum 5 years hospital experience.
• ACLS, CPR and PALS within 6 months.
• Basic computer literacy with EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bed assignments to optimize patient flow.
• Prepare daily schedules for Surgery Center staff.
• Collaborate with environmental services for bed/room readiness.
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness across units.
• Serve as bed management resource and educator to staff.
